Some of you regular visitors might have noticed a drop in productivity here over in the last few months. Its not been because we’ve run out of rad stuff to enthuse about. Quite the opposite, we’ve been busy beavering away on our new site and the new chapter for Wheels On Toast.

Visit from now on where you’ll find the same (but better) blog stuff as always. Theres also a brand new section profiling brands and individuals we think deserve more then a lil old blog post. Finally theres a bit more info about the folks behind WOT and the other services we do if you’re so inclined to know.

Go on then, what are you waiting for, times a wasting.

I’ve been getting a bit jaded by my usual internet haunts of late and have been very happily getting lost in the printed word via Autobiography by Morrisssy and the latest copy of Jocks and Nerds. BUT one site I can always rely on delivering the goods with fresh inspiration is

This shots from mksim’s instagram but you’ve got time drop by if you like bikes, surf, cars and general cool shit.

Merci beaucoup Maxime

Mountain+weather+-+Long+Live+The+Kings+by+Donald+van+der+Putten+@+Hysteric+StudiosI like this film, its shot beautifully and it features some cool bikes and epic scenery. Saying that it not without its flaws, the bare chested riding and eating sardines with an unnecessarily big knife is so hetro it actually a bit gay. It looks like it been bank rolled by the jeans brand Edwin and their presence isn’t too in your face. Anyway this isn’t supposed to be a major critique, its just a cool film that makes you want to go ride a motorcycle so I figure thats mission accomplished. via

Fuck, either I’ve been suckered or it actually turns out The Dude is a real person. I don’t really care either way it’ll never change how i feel about one of my top 3 all time movies. This is a great little film if you are a fan of old El Duderino.

Theres two slices of lovely, jingly jangly indie around at the moment. I especially like the lyrical theme of the Mystery Jets single, a couple splitting up and dividing up the record collection. Jeez we’ve all been there, I’ve lost countless classic records and been lumbered with some random shit by The Cardigans and Catatonia, if you ever come around to my house, those 2 ain’t mine.

I often get brain freeze on the internet just like when I used to in a record shop. I’d go into Selectadisc knowing exactly what I was looking for until I stepped over the threshold and then inexplicably find myself browsing the Underground Gabba section having no recollection of what I was supposed to be looking for. Anyway I get like that alot of the time on the internet, until I recently found this blog.

Basically it reads like an autobiographical appendix of ‘shit I’ve obsessed about since age 13’. It’s all there, Stussy adverts, Holmes T-shirts, Nike Lava Domes, Phat Magazine, Zoo York skate videos, Level Magazine (still got my iron on transfer), Vintage Ralph Lauren. The final straw was an unbelievably detailed write up about Ged Wells almost forgotten Insane clothing label.

I must add whats so great about this place is the quality and substance of all the articles, the author is not like me who chucks up a pic and a handful of lines of copy if you’re lucky. No this guys knowledge of sneakers, streetware and general dope stuff is frankly intimidating. The posts are all thoughtfully written with great attention to detail, you genuinely feel this guy is writing for himself and if you happen to be into it then you’re blessed.

Anyway I personally only know maybe two other people who would know or remember all of those things listed above and they’ll probably read this post and hopefully check out Garys site and get as excited as I have.
